Kristin Brig-Ortiz is a lecturer in the Program in Public Health & Society at Washington University in St. Louis. An environmental historian of medicine and science in Africa, she is currently working on her first book, which explores the relationship between water management and urban public health in British colonial South Africa. She has published in a wide array of outlets, including Social History of Medicine, the South African Historical Journal, and, of course, Environmental History Now.
