Author: Felice Physioc

After receiving her Ph.D. in Colonial Latin American History from Princeton University in 2021, Felice transitioned out of academia. She now works with Indigenous communities in Western Canada as they navigate regulatory processes related to development on their traditional territories. Her dissertation explored how large-scale, colonial infrastructure projects impacted Indigenous social organization in the Peruvian and Bolivian highlands. Felice finds similar processes unfolding in a different context and location today with the vast expansion of oil and gas development in Alberta. Felice also has an M.A. and M.Sc. in International and World History from Columbia University and the London School of Economics. Prior to beginning academic pursuits, she worked in communications and content development in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
