Angela Ocampo received her PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research Democracy, Institutions and Subjectivities (CriDIS) at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain, 2023). She holds a Master’s degree in Political science and International Relations from the same University. Her research combines political ecology with socio-legal studies to approach rights-based activism, environmental governance and policy. Her research examines competing ideas and epistemologies of place, territory and environment and how these are mobilised and expressed in legal processes and governance arenas. She has also worked on issues of conflict and peace, business and human rights, and development.
