Dr. Jeannette Alden Estruth is currently a Postdoctoral Visiting Scholar at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cambridge, MA, and an Affiliate at the Harvard Law School Berkman-Klein Center for Internet and Society. She is an historian of the modern United States, including the history of technology, politics, economics, and the urban environment. She received her doctorate, with honors, from New York University in 2018. Her present book-in-progress is a grassroots history of the development of the Silicon Valley. The project is now a finalist for the Business History Conference’s Herman Krooss Prize for 2017-2018.
