Kathryn (Kate) B. Carpenter is an M.A. student in History at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her research interests include environmental history, history of science, medicine, and technology, gender, and the American West. Her thesis explores the connection between health and public land policy at the Government Free Bathhouse in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Beginning in Fall 2019, Kate will begin doctoral studies at a soon-to-be-determined university.
